About 1.8 million people currently call the San Fernando Valley (also known as The Valley). It is a suburban side of Los Angeles County in Southern California. The population is about 40% White non-Hispanic, 40% Latino, 12% Asian, five percent African American, and the remaining of other or bi-racial backgrounds. The Valley is known for being extremely diverse in comparison to most areas.

If you are a commuter, it’s great to know that commuters of the San Fernando Valley utilize the intricate network of freeways and highways such as the U.S. 101 Freeway, State Route 170, State Route 118, Interstate 210 and the Interstate 5. For those without an automobile, there are many options for transportation such as the subways with the two operating Metro Red Lines, express and local buses, dedicated transit-ways, Metro link train stations, and light rail lines.
For even further traveling, locals have access to the Burbank Airport and the Bob Hope Airport in Van Nuys without having to take the long commute to LAX (Los Angeles International Airport). However, the Airport Fly-Away Terminal at the Van Nuys Airport is a favorite of travelers needing to go to or return from LAX by providing scheduled buses picking up and dropping off travelers from all over the globe back and forth to and from the San Fernando Valley for a very budget affordable price.
